Which spelling to use
曇り曇り is the most common written form, combining kanji and kana. Use it for cloudiness, cloudy weather, fog on mirrors or glasses, and cloud in marble.
曇曇 is a less common kanji-only variant of 曇り. It can represent the same senses, but 曇り is the safer choice for learners.
